Wasted $150 on an AI video generator that looked like a slideshow from 2005

I needed short promo clips for my Etsy shop and grabbed a subscription to one of those AI video tools everyone's talking about. The output was choppy, the text overlays kept glitching, and the voices sounded like robots with a cold. Has anyone found a budget-friendly AI video tool that actually delivers decent quality?

It's funny how this AI stuff is like that, isn't it... we're all chasing these tools that promise so much but deliver something that feels half-baked. I swear it's the same with every new tech wave. Yeah and here's the thing, I'm probably the last person who should be judging any of this. I'm the guy who bought a fancy smart thermostat and then spent a whole weekend trying to get it to talk to my phone. Turns out I just needed to flip a switch on the back, but by that point I'd already reset the whole thing twice and my heat was off for like six hours in January. So when people complain about AI slideshows glitching out, I'm right there with you but also I'm the guy who can't even get his own stuff to work half the time. We're all just beta testers paying full price for the privilege, I guess.

The $150 thing got me. Most of those tools are priced like they're for professionals but they're really aimed at people like us just trying to make a quick clip. I signed up for one last month that was $40 a month and the video export kept freezing at 90 percent. Turns out their help page said to "try refreshing the browser" which felt like a joke.
