Am I the only one who watched a Bradford pear split in half in one storm
The one in my neighbor's yard in Tacoma stood fine for 15 years, then a 40 mph gust turned it into two trees overnight. Now I tell everyone to skip them, but is there a species you used to trust that one bad storm ruined for you?
My buddy had a willow oak in his front yard that he swore by for years, then one ice storm ripped half the canopy off. He's still finding branches in his gutters.
