Appreciation post: my hand pruners outdid the loppers on a 3 inch river birch limb, so which one do you actually reach for?

I grabbed the Felco by habit when a limb was right at the lopper cutoff in Fort Wayne and got a cleaner cut with less crush, but I still think loppers win for speed once you're above 2 inches. Which one is your default on stuff that size, or am I overthinking this?
