Hot take: I tried a new climbing rope from a startup brand and it frayed after two big removals.
The sheath started separating near the splice on a 60-foot oak takedown in Eugene. Anyone have a reliable brand that can handle heavy rigging?

That startup's new 9.8mm line held up for my whole crew last season. We put it through way worse than a couple of oaks.

How much did you pay them to say that? My crew would have snapped it on day one.

Way worse than a couple oaks" is a pretty big claim. What does that even mean, like dragging it over sharp rocks daily? My old line got chewed up just from regular brush and a few bad knots. Stuff always fails eventually, so a whole season without a single core shot sounds like luck more than some huge test.
