Honestly used to think those city jobs were just busywork. Seeing that number though, 100 trees in a month, really shows how much ground gets covered. Changes how you see the people doing that kind of work for sure. Makes you appreciate the scale of keeping a city's trees checked and safe.

You're right about the scale, but what gets me is the hidden skill in that number. It's not just checking boxes. That's 100 different micro-environments, from a park oak with soft soil to a sidewalk maple fighting concrete. Each one needs a different eye for risk. The person doing this has to read the story of each tree, which is a quiet kind of expertise.
