Saving a maple from girdling roots with a simple cut
I saw the roots were squeezing the trunk and the tree looked sick. After cutting the bad roots and fixing the soil, it started to grow better. Do you have other tips for this problem?

I mean, mulching after you do that cut can really help keep the soil from getting compacted again. I almost killed a houseplant trying to fix its roots, so I'm definitely no expert.

See what you mean about mulching. I almost killed my snake plant by packing the soil too tight after a trim. Took ages to bounce back.

Pine bark mulch saved my azalea from compaction last spring.
