Spent $1,100 on a used chipper and it paid off in one storm cleanup
I picked up a beat up 6 inch chipper off a guy in Modesto for $1,100 back in March, mostly because I was tired of hauling brush to the dump. When that wind storm hit in April and I had 14 jobs lined up in a single week, that thing turned piles of limbs into mulch I could sell back to homeowners for $20 a load. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a bigger unit or just fix the clutch on this one, what's everyone running for mid size jobs?
