Blew $50 on a fancy bird feeder that squirrels destroyed in 3 days
I bought this expensive "squirrel-proof" feeder online and those little jerks chewed through the plastic in under a week. Has anyone found a feeder that actually keeps them out for more than a month?

Is it just me or do these "squirrel proof" gadgets feel like they're DESIGNED to fail? @lunag30 hit the nail on the head with gravity not mattering to them. I swear those critters treat it like a challenge.

My neighbor spent $80 on a metal one with a weight-activated perch and the squirrels just hang upside down from the top now and eat right out of it. It's like we're all just paying to watch squirrels get creative. Honestly I think we're being scammed by the whole bird feeder industry at this point. They know we'll keep buying new ones hoping for a miracle.
