Had to shoo a hawk off my deck, now the finches are gone

My feeder in Boise got hit by a Cooper's hawk last Tuesday, it took a house finch right in front of me and I made the call to scare it away. Now the finches stopped coming for 4 days, so is it better to let hawks hunt at feeders or do you all chase them off too?

Dang, my cat brought me a mole yesterday and now the whole yard feels off. Nature's weird like that.
