My uncle swore by bread for bird feeding, 2 weeks later I stopped
He said tossing white bread scraps would bring in cardinals and blue jays, but all I got was a yard full of starlings and a mess of soggy crusts. Switched to sunflower seeds after that and the good birds showed up within 3 days. Anyone else have a relative give them advice that backfired this badly?

Wait, did your uncle ever mention that stale bread can actually ferment in a bird's crop and make them sick, or was he just trying to get rid of old hot dog buns?
