Put a cheap feeder hook near my kitchen window, now the cardinals own my mornings
Last month I hung a little suction cup feeder right on the glass next to where I drink coffee. I used to only watch birds from the porch, maybe once a week. Within three days, a pair of cardinals found it and now they show up every morning around 6:45 like clockwork. The male bangs the seeds around and the female waits on the bush until he clears out. I learned that the window reflection spooks them at first, so I stuck a Post-it note on the glass to break it up. That fixed it and now they're comfortable eating two feet from my face. Has anyone else had luck with those glass feeders, or do the birds just ignore them after a while?
