Serious question, I hung a cheap feeder 5 feet from my window and the cardinals quit showing up
Back in 2019 I had a feeder way out by the fence in my yard in Akron and I'd get 6 or 7 cardinals at a time. Moved it right up close to the glass two months ago so I could get better photos, and now I'm lucky to see 2 all morning. Turns out they want a bush or tree nearby to duck into, and my window gives them nowhere to hide. Anyone else had birds bail after you moved a feeder closer?
Man that's rough, going from 6 birds down to 2 would drive me nuts. Had the same thing happen when I moved mine off the fence line, they just vanished til I stuck a little holly bush next to it.
