Fell for that $200 discount smoker online - total garbage

I bought one of those cheap offset smokers on sale for $200 from a random website last summer. The metal was so thin you could see light through the firebox after the first cook. By the third brisket the door warped and wouldn't close tight. Lost all my heat control and ruined $80 worth of meat. Stick with a name brand even if you have to save up longer. Anyone else get burned by a bargain pit?

Buddy bought one and the handle snapped off before he even lit the first fire.

Gotta check if the website has a physical address and a real phone number before you buy. Those cheapo sites pop up and disappear overnight, leaving you with a warped piece of tin and no warranty to speak of.
