Worst brisket cook I ever had happened on a Saturday last June
Had a full packer going on my offset smoker, temp was rock solid at 225 for 11 hours straight. Then my neighbor's kid hit my propane tank with a baseball bat and I couldn't get it lit again for 45 minutes while the meat sat there at 140. Anyone else had a single dumb accident ruin a whole cook?

That kid owes you a brisket. Some cooks are just cursed from the start.

Had a buddy whose entire brisket got ruined because his dog somehow nudged the smoker door open and it dumped his water pan. Meat was like shoe leather by the time he caught it. Still brings it up every time we talk brisket.
