Hit 500 whole hog breakdowns this month, never thought I'd stop feeling nerves

I've been breaking down hogs for about 6 years now, mostly for a small shop outside of Scranton. This month I hit my 500th whole hog and honestly, I used to hate that job. Every single time I'd get anxious about ruining the belly or messing up the tenderloin, even though I knew the steps cold. What changed was a customer at the counter last Tuesday who asked me to fillet a shoulder for his sick dog, and I just did it without thinking. After that, I realized the fear was never about skill, it was about caring too much about someone watching me mess up. Does anyone else hit a weird milestone number and suddenly feel like the anxiety just evaporates, or am I the only weirdo who counts like this?
