Question about those new 'self-sharpening' steel gloves
Bought a pair for $120 after seeing an ad, and they dulled my boning knife after one hog shoulder. The company said it was 'user error' and wouldn't refund. Has anyone found a good brand for cut-resistant gloves that don't ruin your edges?

Man, that's a classic move from those companies. Used to think the pricier ones had to be better, but my last pair wrecked a good filet knife. Now I just stick with the basic, no-frills cut resistant gloves and keep my sharpener handy. The fancy tech always seems to be more about the ad than the actual product.

Watched my buddy buy those premium gloves with the special coating last season. He sliced right through them on a zipper tab, said it felt like cutting warm butter. Sometimes the simple gear just works better.

Spot on, @logan_ellis. Makes you wonder if the extra cost just covers the marketing budget. Seen the same thing with truck stop tools, all flashy packaging and junk steel.
