Watched a guy at the county fair butcher a hog without a scabbard for his knife

He sliced his own hand open trying to wipe the blade on his apron. I've kept my steel in a belt sheath ever since that day, anyone else have a close call that changed their gear setup?

Saw a guy do that with a fillet knife once... I still keep my bandaids closer than my sheath now.

Man just gave himself a free palm fillet! That's the kind of fairground lesson that sticks with you, literally. I bet he learned more about knife safety in two seconds than in his whole life before that. Some folks just need to see their own blood to get the point.
