Am I the only one who thinks bailing on the whole night is better than showing up late?
My buddy Dale keeps telling me that if plans get pushed back, you should still show up, even if you roll in an hour and a half behind. So when the Cards game watch at his place in St. Louis got moved to 9pm, I went anyway, and I sat there nodding at a room of half-asleep guys while the nachos turned to glue. Dale's a good guy, but after 40 minutes of that I started thinking the cancel was the best part of the night. How late does a plan have to slip before you just call it and stay home?
