My friend's last-minute bail on a concert in Philly turned into a perfect solo night

I went alone, got a single ticket upgrade to the third row for $40, and actually heard the music better without the chatter. Anyone else find a canceled duo plan works out better as a single sometimes?

Yeah @kevin_west, talkers are the worst. I mean, sometimes a solo night just lets you actually get into the music, you know?

Totally get that, had a friend cancel on a festival day trip last month. Ended up driving myself, staying as long as I wanted at the sets I liked, and grabbing a killer parking spot because I was just one car. It was way more fun being on my own schedule. Like @martinez.kim said, you can actually get into the music without managing someone else's good time. Sometimes the solo plan is the better plan from the start.

Ever get stuck next to a talker at a show? That third row spot sounds like a win.
