My whole bowling league just fell apart after 8 years

We had the same Thursday night slot at Maple Lanes since 2016, but last month three teams dropped out at once. It started when the alley raised the lane fee by 15 bucks a person... then people just stopped showing up. Now my Thursday nights are quiet, so I've been walking my old route from work instead. Has anyone else had a long-running group thing just quietly end?

Wait, they raised it by fifteen dollars a person? No wonder it fell apart, like @joel_hall17 said, did anyone even talk to the alley first?

Maple Lanes for eight years, that's a real institution. A fifteen dollar jump per person is a huge hit, no wonder it broke the budget for folks. It's sad when a place doesn't realize they're pricing out their regulars.
