The vet told me to stop walking my dog in the rain and I ignored her for 6 months until he got pneumonia
My neighbor Dave said "just go when it's dry, that's what I do" and after my pup spent 3 days on IV fluids I finally realized she was right, has anyone else had advice from a stranger that turned out to be spot on?

@grant.felix - good comparison, though smoke alarms are easier to ignore than a sick puppy. Dave's advice about dry weather walks is solid. My neighbor told me to pick up pine needles from the yard before my lab ate them and got an obstruction. Two days at the emergency vet later, I finally listened. Sometimes the most obvious advice from a stranger is the one that saves you.
