Weekend camping trip got rained out, tried a cabin vs. tent comparison instead

Planned a 3 day trip to Red River Gorge but storms hit Friday, so I swapped to a cabin rental 10 miles away and honestly the dry sleep and hot coffee made it way better than wrestling a wet tent. Has anyone else switched to a backup spot when weather ruined the original plan?

And you KNOW the best part nobody talks about is how that coffee cup doubles as a hand warmer while you're trying to dry out your socks on the wood stove. two birds one stone sort of deal.
