Can we talk about the whole 'just a quick brush' mindset?
I had a job in Springfield about six months ago where the homeowner said they just needed a 'quick sweep' before winter. I did my normal brush and vac, but a week later they called back with a major smoke issue. I went back and found a huge, hard creosote blockage about two feet down the flue that my brush just glazed over. The tip off was the sound my rods made on the second pass, a dull thud instead of a scrape. I realized I was moving too fast and not checking the whole length properly. How do you guys make sure you're not missing stuff when a customer is pushing for speed?
