Guy in Cleveland told me my brush was too soft for a clay flue and I'm still annoyed about it
Was doing a routine clean on a 1920s house over on West 41st last Tuesday and the homeowner, Dave, stood behind me the whole time telling me how the last sweep used a stiffer poly brush on his clay liner. I told him the softer brush is easier on older clay and he just kept shaking his head and saying "that's not what the other guy does." I finished the job, showed him the flue was clear with my camera, and he still acted like I cut corners. Has anyone had a customer like this where you just can't win no matter what you show them?
