Is it really safer to use a steel brush on clay flues? I keep seeing guys do it
Most of the sweeps I've met around Boise swear by steel brushes for clay liners, but I've pulled out enough gouged clay to question that. The NFPA 211 says to match the brush to the liner, so why does everyone ignore that? Am I missing something or are we just stuck in old habits?
