Switched to rotary brushes after 12 years of doing it the hard way

I used to only use hand rods and a stiff bristle brush on every job. Thought rotary brushes were just for show. Then I got a call in Richmond last February where a clay liner had a real bad offset and my hand brush kept snagging. Buddy let me borrow his rotary setup and I finished in 20 minutes what would've taken an hour and a half. Now I keep a rotary head in my truck for tough spots. Anyone else stick with old methods longer than they should've?

Heard a similar story from my buddy Mike down in Norfolk. Dude swore by his old school methods for years, never even looked at a rotary brush. Did a crawlspace job in Chesapeake where a fucked up transition had him cussin for two hours. Finally gave in and tried one of those cheap spin brushes from Home Depot. Said he was done in 25 minutes flat. Now he's got three different rotary heads in his van. Funny how you can be stubborn about something that simple.

Oh man, that's exactly how it goes... I've seen so many guys fight the new tools for way too long. Once you take the leap it's like, "why the hell didn't I do this sooner?

Did @hannahsingh call it or what? That stubborn streak cost your buddy a lot of time and hassle for no good reason. Sometimes the simplest fix is just swallowing your pride and grabbing the tool that actually works.
