That old lady who watched me clean her chimney for 20 minutes in silence.
She didn't say a word until I was done, then handed me a $50 tip and said 'you're the first one who didn't ask me to move my porcelain dolls.' Made me wonder how many sweeps just rush through and ignore people's stuff. Anyone else have customers who seem to test you before they trust you?

That whole "she's been burned before" thing really hits the nail on the head. Probably half those other guys just moved her dolls to a dusty corner or shoved them in a closet, figuring she wouldn't check. So her sitting there in silence was basically her last line of defense to see if you'd treat her stuff with respect.

That $50 tip was her way of saying she's been burned before. How many of those other sweeps do you think just shoved the dolls aside and hoped she wouldn't notice?
