That one Tuesday last month where I only had two cleanouts and both were dead simple with zero mess

I pulled up to the first house and the owner had even swept the hearth for me, and the second one had a brand new liner that was barely dirty, so I was done by noon and spent the rest of the day fishing at the creek - has anyone else ever had a day that perfect and then worried you used up all your good luck?

That day sounds absolutely magical. I had something similar happen last month when I found a brand new $20 bill on the sidewalk and then got a free coffee because the barista messed up my order. Spent the whole next day bracing for a disaster that never came.

Hold on, they swept the hearth for you? That's like finding a unicorn doing your taxes or something. I'd definitely be side-eyeing the sky for the next week waiting for the other shoe to drop.

My buddy Tom once found a $50 bill on the ground outside a McDonald's, and he spent the rest of the week checking his brakes every single morning because he thought it was too good to be true. I get that feeling, like the universe is setting you up for something bad to balance out the good. It's like when you get a perfect parking spot right in front of the store and you're convinced someone's about to rear-end you as you back out. The hearth sweep thing is way more specific though, that's wild. I'd probably start leaving little offerings on my doorstep just to keep whatever cosmic forces are happy. Hope you don't find a leaky pipe or a swarm of bees tomorrow or something.
