Warning: picked the wire brush over the poly brush on a 30-foot liner and I'm kicking myself
Had a call in Albany where the flue was caked with glazed creosote and I had to choose between my wire brush and the softer poly one. I went with the wire to save time, and it scratched up the liner bad enough that the homeowner noticed and asked questions. Now I'm looking at going back out there on my own dime to make it right. Has anyone found a brush that cuts through the glaze without chewing up the walls?
