Finally had a whole afternoon to myself last Sunday and it was perfect

My shop was closed and I had no dogs booked for once. I grabbed my oldest fleece blanket, the one with the frayed edges my dog chewed on years ago, and just crashed on the couch around 2pm. Put on a random nature documentary and woke up 3 hours later still wrapped up with a little drool on the pillow. It's not fancy but that afternoon alone reset my whole week. Anyone else have those rare days where the simple nap setup works way better than anything expensive?

Okay but hold on, I'm gonna be the one who says it. That sounds like a total waste of a perfectly good afternoon. Sunday is the one day I can actually get stuff done around here and you just threw it away sleeping. You could have tackled that pile of laundry or reorganized the garage for an hour and still had time to relax. I never feel "reset" after napping, I just feel groggy and mad I lost time. Give me a productive afternoon over being a "lump" any day, that's the real reset for me.

and honestly those unplanned naps just hit different. my dog will wake me up licking my face eventually but that's part of the vibe. sometimes the best reset is just letting yourself be a lump for a few hours.

Ha, your dog licking your face is the built-in alarm clock nobody asked for but everyone needs! That's a wild way to wake up but honestly kind of perfect.
