Finally hit 50 blankets in my collection and I'm rethinking everything

I've been collecting fuzzy throws for like 5 years now and last week I counted 50 exactly. That number just hit different, you know? I used to think more blankets equaled more cozy options but honestly after hitting 50 I realized half of them never even get used. What convinced me to change was pulling out a microfiber one from the back of the closet that I forgot I owned. It had this weird smell and I just thought, why am I holding onto all this stuff? Has anyone else hit a number that made them start purging their cozy stash?

Most people figure a weird smell means something died or the compressor is shot, but a hidden moisture issue can give off a nasty musty odor that gets real bad once it heats up. I've seen neglected filters get nasty too, but this sounds like something that was brewing for a while before it finally got noticed.
