Hot take: fleece blankets are way overrated for actual napping

I mean, everyone acts like fleece is the ultimate cozy fabric but it just makes me sweat after 20 minutes. Last week I crashed on my friend's couch under this giant grey fleece throw and woke up all clammy and annoyed. Give me a good old cotton quilt or even a chunky knit blanket any day for real sleep. Am I the only one who finds fleece more heat trap than comfort?

Used to think fleece was the peak of cozy but you totally changed my mind.

Oh man, fleece is the worst for napping, total sweat fest.

barbarah19 nailed it with "total sweat fest," but I think there's a layer people miss. I got a microfiber fleece once thinking it was different, but nope, same clammy results. The real issue is that fleece just doesn't breathe at all, it basically wraps you in a plastic bag that happens to feel soft. Cotton or wool are the only fabrics that let you actually sleep without waking up feeling like you marinated in your own heat.
