Just learned my favorite throw blanket is actually a 1970s sleeping bag lining
I picked up this super soft plaid blanket at a thrift store in Cleveland for like 8 bucks a few months ago. Was looking for washing instructions on the tag and found out it's actually an old liner from some military sleeping bag from the 70s. I couldn't believe it, the thing is perfect for napping on my couch and weighs almost nothing. Has anyone else found a random vintage piece that worked way better than expected for cozying up?

Does it really matter what it used to be if it keeps you warm on the couch?

Oh man, @carter.casey you're hitting me right in the feels with this one. I've got a sweater that started out as a "nice gift from my aunt" and now it's basically a glorified rag with holes in the elbows, but I swear it's the only thing that keeps me warm on cold nights. I mean, at this point it's more thread than sweater, but who am I to judge? It's like me on a Monday morning - not much to look at but still doing the job.

My worn out hoodie from college is basically held together by memories and duct tape now.
