My cat peed on my $200 weighted blanket and I spent 3 hours fixing my mistake
So last Tuesday I was all set for the best nap of my life, weighted blanket, memory foam pillow, the whole setup on my couch in Portland. I got up for like 45 seconds to grab a snack and my cat Meatball decided that was the perfect time to leave a surprise right in the middle of it. I freaked out and threw the whole thing in the wash on hot, which was the dumbest move because the beads inside basically melted into one giant lump. I spent 3 hours pulling clumps of wet sand out of a soggy sack of fabric while Meatball just watched me like I was putting on a show. Ended up buying a $30 washable cover for next time and honestly that thing has been a game changer. Has anyone else had a pet ruin their cozy setup, and what did you do to save it?

Oh no, the hot wash is the worst part, those beads never recover once they clump up. Meatball just sitting there watching you dig through wet sand is so on brand for a cat honestly. My roommate's dog did something similar to her $150 blanket and she just gave up and bought a new one, so you're already doing better than her.
