TIL a $9 Walmart fleece throw beat my $60 weighted blanket for couch naps
So last month I was at my sister's place in Boise and she handed me this cheap fleece throw she got for like $9, and I slept better on her couch than I do at home with my $60 weighted blanket. The weighted one is great for actual bed sleep, but for a 40 minute couch nap it feels like work to get situated under it. I think the difference is that the light throw traps heat without pinning me down, so I can shift around and pass out faster. Has anyone else ditched the heavy blankets for cheap thin ones when napping on the couch?
A $9 Walmart throw taking down a $60 weighted blanket is the underdog story I didn't know I needed today. Getting a weighted blanket situated is like trying to wrestle a beanbag chair that's filled with sand, by the time you're comfy your lunch break is over. Half the battle with those things is just figuring out which end is which. My cat loves mine way more than I do, she treats it like her personal fort and I'm just the guy who lifts it for her. Cheap thin blankets win the couch nap game every single time because you can just kick them off when you get too hot.
