Took me 10 years to realize I was folding my throw blankets wrong

I always just folded my big fleece throw in half longways and stuffed it on the end of the couch. Looked okay. Then my sister came over last Thanksgiving, grabbed it, and folded it into thirds the other way. Fit perfect in the same spot without that lumpy fold in the middle. She said, "You've been making a giant roll instead of a neat stack." How long have you all been folding blankets a specific way before you saw someone do it different?

Grabbed my hoodie off the back of a chair at a friend's place and he was like "whoa, you're gonna wreck the collar hanging it like that" and then showed me his method of folding the hood over the shoulders before hanging it up. I had been folding hoodies by the sleeves forever (like, 15 years) and it always stretched out the neck. Now I do his way and my hoodies actually keep their shape, which is wild for such a small change really.

So you're telling me you went fifteen years just hanging hoodies by the collar and never thought about the hood? Makes you wonder what else we're all doing wrong without even knowing it. I've got one hoodie where the neck is so stretched out it looks like a cowl neck now, pretty much ruined. Did you have to re-train yourself every time you grabbed a hoodie, or did it just click after a few tries? I bet there's a bunch of people out there still putting their hoodies on hangers backwards and wondering why they look like folded up rags after two washes.

Yeah, fold it in thirds. Total game changer, honestly.
