Warning: That ikea throw pillow trap got me good
I was at Target last Saturday grabbing snacks and walked past their clearance bin. Saw this fluffy pillow for $8 and thought score, but it's basically a pancake after one nap. I swear my dog's bed has more support and that thing cost me $40 at PetSmart. Anybody else get burned by a cheap pillow that looked way better in the store?

Dryer tennis balls huh? Sounds like a full-on science experiment just to get a decent nap out of an eight dollar pillow. Last time I tried something like that I forgot about it and ended up with a melted tennis ball smell throughout my whole apartment for three days. Guess I'll stick to stealing my dog's bed, at least he doesn't make me do laundry.

HOLY CRAP you melted a tennis ball in the dryer??? That's like some horror movie stuff right there. @the_anthony I'm honestly impressed you survived that smell, I bet your whole building was wondering what died in your laundry room. I've never tried the tennis ball thing cause I'm scared of exactly that happening. My luck I'd forget and end up with a rubbery fire hazard instead of a fluffy pillow. My cat would probably love it though, he's obsessed with anything that smells weird.

Did you try fluffing it in the dryer on low heat with a couple tennis balls? I had the same issue with a target pillow that went flat after one sleep, and it actually plumped back up pretty good after ten minutes in there. The tennis balls break up the clumps of stuffing so it doesn't feel like a sad pancake anymore. I do this with all my cheap pillows now and they last way longer than you'd expect for the price. Might save you from having to buy another one or steal your dog's bed.
