Chat with a SOC analyst made me realize our marketing is too buzzword-heavy
He said when he sees 'next-gen' or 'AI-powered' in vendor emails he immediately deletes them, and that made me wonder if our whole content strategy is just noise. How do you guys cut through the hype without sounding boring?

Yeah that tracks. The good ones just say what they do plainly.

Yeah I gotta admit I used to be one of those people who thought you needed to dress it up or make it sound fancier than it really is. Like when I first started out I'd catch myself saying stuff like "I facilitate emergency response operations" instead of just saying I'm a firefighter. But then I met this old timer who said "I put out fires and drag people out of burning buildings" and it hit me. That plain honest talk earns way more respect than trying to sound important. Now I just say what I do and let the work speak for itself.

Man, does that mean I gotta stop calling myself a "strategic narrative architect" on my LinkedIn? Damn, that title took me like an hour to come up with.
