Picked demo videos over case studies for our landing page. ROI was way better.
Last quarter we had to choose where to put our budget. I was leaning case studies - thought real stories would win people over. My boss pushed for short demo videos instead. 3 months in, the video page converts at 8%. Case study page was at 2%. I was wrong. Has anyone else seen better results from one format over the other?

Funny you mention this, we had the exact opposite argument over here. My co-founder was dead set on demos but I kept pushing case studies, figured people wanted to read real results. Six months later our demo page brought in triple the leads compared to the case study section. Bosses are usually right about this stuff (even when it hurts to admit).

Nah I gotta disagree a bit lol. Demos work better when people are already sold and just need that final push. Case studies are for the early stage where someone's still trying to figure out if your thing even solves their problem. If your demo page crushed it, that just means your traffic was already warmed up way before they hit that page. Case studies work as a top of funnel magnet, demos are more like the closer. Different jobs for different stages of the buyer's journey.

Heard a marketing guy say demos work better for people who already know their problem. Case studies are for folks still figuring things out. Makes sense with your numbers. Demos hit harder when someone's ready to buy. Case studies just warm them up.
