Question about using fear in cybersecurity ads
My friend who works at a hospital in Denver said their IT team just ignores those 'your data is already breached' emails because they're all so over the top. Made me wonder if we're just shouting into the void with that approach. Anyone have a better angle that actually gets a response?

Read an article where a security guy said fear just makes people shut down. He said to show the fix, not just the fire. Like instead of "your data is gone," try "here's how we lock your files." Show a quick video of clicking a button to stop a fake attack. Makes people feel smart, not scared.

Fear works for me, makes me actually pay attention.

Actually, fear cuts through the noise when people are too busy to care. Michael_wright90 has a point because a real scare about losing photos makes you act, not just watch a demo. Sometimes you need to see the fire to bother learning where the hose is.
