Serious question, has anyone else had a webinar platform meltdown right before a big launch?

Honestly, we planned a webinar for a new threat detection tool and spent weeks on the marketing push. The day of, our usual platform just... died, like a full outage. Tbh, we scrambled for 6 hours trying to find a backup, moving registrants, and sending frantic emails. It was a total mess that almost wrecked the whole campaign. What's your go-to backup plan when your main tech stack fails like that?

Feel for you, that sounds like a total nightmare. We keep a second platform account ready and tested for exactly this reason. Can't trust any single service with a big launch.

@the_max has the right idea with a backup account. We learned the hard way to also keep a separate payment method ready on the backup. If the main account gets flagged, sometimes the payment system gets locked too. It adds another hour of panic you don't need. Testing the full process on the backup, including a small real purchase, saves so much stress.

Backup accounts just create more surface area for problems. Managing two sets of credentials and payment methods doubles the admin work. It's easier to just have a solid recovery plan for your primary account.
