Serious question, our lead gen cost hit $412 per demo last month and I can't tell if that's normal
I pulled the numbers for our Q2 paid search and LinkedIn campaigns at the security SaaS shop I work at in Austin, and the blended cost per booked demo came out to $412, up from $180 in January. Most of that jump came from one broad "cybersecurity" keyword group that ate 60% of the budget and produced a bunch of students and IT help desk folks instead of buyers. Is that kind of bump just what the category costs now, or do I need to kill the broad match and rebuild the whole thing around intent terms?
