Spent $5k on a fancy booth at a big security conference and it was a total dud.

We had a prime spot at RSA, but all we got were tire-kickers and people grabbing our free pens. The leads were terrible, and the ROI was basically zero. Are these huge industry events even worth it anymore, or is the money better spent online?

RSA is basically a five thousand dollar pen giveaway with a really loud background. You pay for the chance to have a hundred people tell you their company's procurement process takes eighteen months. At this point, the only real business getting done is between the hotel bars and the overpriced sandwich stands.

What were you hoping to get out of it? Just leads, or something else like brand stuff?

Honestly josepha32, sometimes brand trust matters more than a quick lead.
