Stop quoting PoC numbers in B2B security ads unless you back them up.

Just saw a LinkedIn ad for some endpoint tool claiming 99.8% detection rate. No methodology. No third party test. Nothing. I called their sales guy on it. He said 'its based on internal lab data.' That's marketing fluff not proof. Real buyers don't fall for this. They want independent validation like SE Labs or MITRE ATT&CK evaluations. Has anyone else noticed vendors getting sloppy with claims?

Can't believe they actually admitted it was just internal data.

and honestly this is just how everything seems to work now. like you look at company earnings calls or product launches and its all just internal numbers they spun to look good. remember when everyone thought "transparency" was going to be the new normal? nah its just whatever data makes them look best and we're supposed to just go along with it.
