Thought white papers were dead, but one got me 12 leads in a week
I've been ignoring white papers for like 2 years thinking nobody actually reads them. Then last month I put together a short one (7 pages max) about ransomware recovery steps for small businesses. Posted it with a simple landing page and a LinkedIn post. Got 12 qualified leads in 5 days from companies I'd never reached before. Has anyone else seen white papers actually work better than blogs for certain buyers?

Talked to a buddy who runs an MSP last week and he was shocked when a short white paper on cloud migration mistakes got him 8 leads in three days. He'd been doing blog posts for months with barely a nibble, then this one PDF did all the heavy lifting. It's weird how decision makers still want that deeper read sometimes.

Tbh @wendysanchez that 8 leads in three days stat is wild. I've seen the same thing with a buddy who sells cybersecurity software. His blog posts got crickets but a 5 page PDF on ransomware recovery steps landed him a demo with a hospital CIO within a week. Something about a PDF feels more official to decision makers, like they're getting insider info. Blogs just don't hit that same note for the people signing off on big purchases.

Respectfully gotta disagree with you @wendysanchez, blogs still work if they actually solve a specific problem instead of just general advice.
