Visited a cybersecurity conference in Austin and saw a booth with a giant inflatable lock
Ngl, I walked past this booth at SecureWorld Austin last week where they had this huge inflatable lock as their centerpiece. The guy was handing out branded padlocks like they were candy, but I couldn't tell if they were selling password managers or just really into hardware jokes. Has anyone else seen marketing props that miss the mark like that?

Lol I heard those inflatable locks are actually pretty popular at security cons, kinda funny marketing though.

Wonder if this is one of those things where the joke is on the actual users. I can see the appeal as a conversation starter but the first time someone bumps into that thing wrong I bet it pops. Real security hardware has to be a lot more reliable than a pool toy no matter how clever the marketing is.

That inflatable lock thing is clever marketing but it misses the point of actual security. Real locks need to withstand force and tampering, not just look interesting at a con. The whole idea falls apart the minute someone gives it a solid shove or pulls out a pocket knife.
