Can we talk about the worst Tuesday I had last month

Last month on a Tuesday everything just went wrong. My alarm didn't go off so I was late. Then I spilled coffee on my shirt in the car. At lunch my card got declined because the bank flagged my account for fraud. By 3pm I just gave up and went home. Has anyone else had a day like that where nothing worked out?

Give it a day or two and that Tuesday probably won't even stand out in your memory anymore. Life has a way of piling on the annoyances, but that's a pretty standard rough day, not exactly a catastrophe.

Gotta call you out a bit here - banks flagging accounts for fraud is actually a good thing, not part of a bad day. Means their system is working right to protect you. Just a quick call to your bank and you're good.

Two years ago my bank locked my account on a Friday evening. Took me until Monday to get it sorted. During that time I missed paying my rent on time and got a late fee. The bank apologized but didn't cover the fee. So yeah, sometimes these "protective" systems cause real problems. They froze my account because I bought coffee at a place 30 miles from home. That's not fraud, that's just driving to a different part of town. The system flags too many normal transactions these days.
