After watching three carts roll into cars in the Target parking lot on Tuesday, I decided to stop being lazy about it, and now I get irrationally annoyed at the people who leave theirs two feet from the corral.
Got the hype about blocking out traffic and chatter on my commute. Tried them on the #42 bus downtown last Tuesday. All I hear is the engine grumble and some lady's phone speaker cutting through like nothing. The hiss from the noise cancelling itself is driving me nuts too. Anyone else find these things only work in quiet rooms? What cheap foam plugs actually work for city buses?
I was always getting annoyed at how the seatbelt would twist right near the buckle. Like every single time I got in my car I'd have to reach down and untangle it before I could click in. Last week my friend watched me do it and just started laughing. She said 'you're grabbing the wrong side of the strap when you pull it across.' Turns out I was grabbing the twisted edge instead of the flat edge and that's what caused the twist every time. Now I just grab it by the buckle end and pull straight across and it never twists anymore. Has anyone else had a dumb little car habit that you only fixed after someone pointed it out?
My neighbor across the street in Tucson has stood there with a hose watering his concrete driveway at 7 AM sharp for the last two months, and I wanted to know if anyone else has a neighbor doing something so pointless that it makes you grind your teeth just watching from your kitchen window?
Was at the Safeway on 3rd Street yesterday. Had my stuff laid out in the cart by aisle order. This random dude just starts moving my bread and eggs around to fit his own milk carton. I came back and my chips were crushed under his 2-liter. Now I keep one hand on the cart handle at all times. Has anyone else had strangers touch their groceries?
