It took like 45 seconds and it actually came out looking like a real folded sheet, not a wrinkled blob. I felt like a complete idiot standing there with my mouth open. I used to just throw my old phones in a drawer when I upgraded. Didn't think twice about it for years. Then last month I found a 2016 Samsung I forgot about and the battery was swollen to the point it cracked the screen. Had to take it to a Best Buy in Portland for proper recycling and the guy told me lithium batteries can catch fire if damaged. Now I recycle phones within 30 days of upgrading, no exceptions. Anyone else sitting on a pile of old devices without realizing the risk?

The barista leans out the window and says 'you know they make a vanilla sweet cream cold brew now, right?' Like I'm doing it wrong on purpose. I told him I've been ordering this same drink for 3 years and he just shrugged and handed me my cup. Has anyone else had a stranger act like your personal order needs fixing?

I moved into a condo last month and the hookup was already set for electric. My old apartment had gas and I loved it. But the guy at the appliance store told me electric dryers take like twice as long now with the new energy rules. I went with electric anyway cause I didn't want to run a gas line. Unpopular take: people who walk their dogs off leash in the city are the worst

I know everyone thinks their dog is super well behaved but I had a golden retriever charge at my leashed dog near the 7th Street bridge last Tuesday and the owner just yelled "he's friendly!" like that makes it okay... Getting a dog in your face when you have no control is scary even if the pup is nice. It's basic manners to keep them leashed in public spaces so why do so many people ignore that rule?

Everyone on here always complains about slow walkers blocking the aisles, but last Tuesday at the Target on 4th street I was stuck behind a lady pushing her cart at a snails pace and it was kind of nice. I had just spent 20 minutes rushing around looking for a specific brand of dog shampoo that was out of stock everywhere, and my shoulders were all tense. Getting forced to slow down made me actually stop and notice they had a whole endcap of clearance holiday treats I would have zoomed right past. I grabbed a bag of peanut butter bones for $3.50 that my shop dogs go crazy for. I get that it's annoying when you're in a hurry, but maybe some of us could use a reminder to stop running around like maniacs all the time.
