TIL the self-checkout line at my Kroger in Dayton is actually faster than the staffed one
I know everyone likes to complain about self-checkout, and I used to be right there with you. But last Tuesday I stood in the regular line behind a cart full of 40 items and watched the self-checkout lanes clear in about half the time. The woman next to me scanned her whole order in under 3 minutes while the cashier's line hadn't moved. I get that it's not for everyone, especially with produce, but the speed thing seems like a myth at my store. Has anyone else timed it both ways and gotten the same result?
