Grocery pickup order was a disaster, but I'm kind of glad

Last Saturday I did the Walmart pickup thing because I was lazy and had 30 items. Got home and half the stuff was wrong, missing the salsa I really wanted and they subbed some fancy organic chips I never asked for. Everyone complains about this but honestly it forced me to actually check my fridge and pantry before ordering, so I ended up wasting less food. Took 20 minutes to sort through the bags and I was annoyed at first, but now I kinda prefer the chaos. Anyone else find messed up orders helpful for meal planning or am I just weird?

So you're saying the chaos actually does the meal planning for you, which is wild because I had almost the same thing happen with a Target order last month. They gave me three bags of frozen spinach instead of the two bags of salad I wanted, and I was mad for about five minutes before I realized I had chicken breasts and pasta sitting in the cabinet that I'd been ignoring for weeks. Ended up making a weird but decent spinach pasta thing for three nights in a row. The messed up order basically forced me to use what I already had, which is more than my normal routine does. Now I almost look forward to seeing what random stuff shows up, like a cooking challenge I didn't sign up for.
